# Online Notepad

A fast, private notepad that auto-saves in your browser. No account, no clutter. Just open and write.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded.

Saved in this browser0 words

## An online notepad that actually remembers

Open it, write, close the tab and it’s still here when you come back. This **online notepad**saves automatically to your own browser, so there’s no account to make and nothing is uploaded to a server. It’s the fastest way to park a thought, draft a message, or hold text you’re moving between apps.

## The catch with browser notes

It lives in _this_ browser, on _this_computer. Clear your data or switch devices and it’s gone. If you want notes (and everything you copy) to follow you to every phone and computer, kept forever and **end-to-end encrypted** so only you can read them, that’s exactly what **Relic** is built for. Think of this notepad as the single-device demo; Relic is the everywhere, forever version.

## Frequently asked questions

Where is my text saved?+

In your browser's local storage, on your device. It survives closing the tab and restarting the computer, but it stays on that browser: clearing site data or switching devices means it is gone.

Do I need an account?+

No. Open the page and type. There is no sign-up, no server copy, and nothing to configure.

Can I recover notes after clearing my browser data?+

No, local storage is wiped with site data and we hold no copy, which is the privacy trade-off of a purely local notepad. If you want notes that survive anything and follow you across devices, encrypted, that is exactly what Relic does.

Is an online notepad private?+

This one is, because nothing you type is transmitted. Notepads that sync to a server without end-to-end encryption can read your notes, so check before pasting anything sensitive elsewhere.

You just copied that. What if you never lost it?

**Relic** remembers everything you copy, forever, searchable on every device, and end-to-end encrypted so only you can read it.
