A fresh sentence whenever you need a spark

Stuck on a blank page, warming up your typing, or filling a mockup with believable copy? This random sentence generator assembles a subject, verb, adjective, object and a closing phrase into a sentence that reads like real English, even though it was never written by anyone. Pick how many you want, from one to ten, hit Generate for a new batch, and copy them all in a single click.

When a random line turns into a real idea

Sometimes a nonsense sentence knocks something loose and you scribble down the real idea it sparked. Relic keeps everything you copy in a searchable, end-to-end encrypted history that follows you to every device, so that one good idea is never lost in the shuffle. Generating sentences is free. Holding onto the keepers is what Relic is for.

Frequently asked questions

How does this random sentence generator work?

It builds each sentence by picking one item at random from six word banks (subject, verb, article, adjective, object, and a closing phrase) and stitching them together, using your browser's built-in random number generator. The result reads like real English even though no one actually wrote it. You can generate 1 to 10 at a time.

Are the sentences grammatically correct?

They are close, on purpose. The template follows a natural subject-verb-object shape, capitalizes the first word, adds a period, and even switches "a" to "an" before a vowel, so most lines are grammatical. They are meant to sound plausible rather than mean anything specific.

Will I get the same sentence twice?

It is very unlikely in normal use. With six independent slots and many choices in each, the number of possible combinations runs into the millions, so repeats are rare. Each Generate press gives you a fresh batch drawn independently.

What are random sentences useful for?

They work well as writing prompts, as warm-up text for typing practice, and as believable filler when you are mocking up a design and real copy would be distracting. Because they read like English, they look more natural in a layout than classic lorem ipsum.

Does anything I generate get uploaded?

No. The word banks and the sentence assembly all run in your browser, with no network request, so nothing is sent or stored on a server. If a nonsense line knocks a real idea loose, Relic keeps everything you copy in an end-to-end encrypted, searchable history so you do not lose it.
