How does the tool decide where a sentence ends?
It looks for a period, question mark, or exclamation point followed by a space or the end of the text. That covers ordinary prose well, though abbreviations like "Dr." or "e.g." can nudge the count up a little, so treat it as a close estimate rather than a grammatical parse.
