How does the styling actually work?
These are not images or an installed font. Each style maps your letters to real Unicode characters that already look bold, italic, or scripted, so a bold "A" becomes a different codepoint that happens to be drawn bold. That is why the output stays copy-and-pasteable text rather than something tied to a specific font.
Which styles can I generate?
The full generator offers sixteen styles: Bold, Italic, Bold Italic, Serif Bold, Cursive, Gothic, Double-struck, Monospace, Vaporwave (full-width), Small Caps, Superscript, Circled, Strikethrough, Underline, Upside down, and Glitch. Numbers fall back to bold digits in styles that lack their own, so they do not show up bare next to styled letters.
Do styled Unicode fonts have any downsides?
Yes, worth knowing. Because these characters are unusual codepoints rather than real formatting, some apps and screen readers handle them poorly, and a screen reader may read them out oddly or skip them. Use them for flair in bios and captions, but keep important or accessibility-critical text as normal letters, and test anywhere that really matters.
