How do I copy an emoji on a computer?

Why do emoji look different on my phone versus my computer?
Each platform draws its own artwork for the same underlying character. What you copy is the character itself, so it will render in the local style wherever it is pasted.
Does my keyboard have an emoji picker too?
Yes: Windows key + period on Windows, Ctrl+Cmd+Space on a Mac. A click-to-copy page is still faster when you want to grab several at once or search visually.
Why do some emoji show as boxes or broken pairs?
Newer emoji need newer system fonts. If your OS predates an emoji's release, it falls back to a box or splits into pieces. Everything on this page sticks to widely supported emoji.
