The whole Greek alphabet, click to copy

All twenty-four letters in both cases, plus the variant forms scientists actually use. Paste them into lab reports, statistics homework, physics notes, spreadsheets, or anywhere else your keyboard cannot reach. Each is a standard Unicode character that renders on every modern device.

The letters you will reach for most

π for circles, Δ for change, Σ for sums and σ for standard deviation, μ for means and micro-units, λ for wavelengths and lambda functions, θ for angles, α and β for coefficients and significance levels, and Ω for resistance. If you keep copying the same two or three, that is exactly the kind of thing a clipboard that remembers is for.

Frequently asked questions

How do I type Greek letters without a Greek keyboard?

The practical way is copying them from a page like this. Word also supports typing the Unicode value then Alt+X, and on a Mac you can enable the Greek input source in keyboard settings.

What are the most used Greek letters in math and science?

π (pi) for the circle constant, Δ (delta) for change, σ and Σ (sigma) for standard deviation and sums, α β γ for angles and coefficients, λ (lambda) for wavelength and functions, μ (mu) for mean and micro, and Ω (omega) for ohms.

Is the micro sign µ the same as Greek mu μ?

They look identical but Unicode has both: µ (U+00B5, the micro sign, on many European keyboards as AltGr+M) and μ (U+03BC, the Greek letter). Both are here; for measurements either displays fine, but the micro sign is the semantically correct one.

Can I use Greek letters in Excel, Google Docs, or code?

In documents and spreadsheets, yes, paste freely. In code, many languages now allow Greek identifiers, but teams usually avoid them for readability; strings and comments are always safe.
