How do I count the number of lines in text?

What is the difference between total lines and non-empty lines?
Total lines counts every line including blank ones, while non-empty lines skips the blanks and counts only lines with actual content. If those two numbers differ, the gap tells you how many empty lines are in your text.
What does the unique lines count mean?
It is how many distinct lines you have after ignoring repeats, so if a line appears three times it still counts as one. Comparing unique lines to total lines is a quick way to spot how much duplication is in a list.
Does it count words and characters too?
Yes. Along with the line counts you get live word and character totals, which is useful for checking a list against a limit or sizing a block of text at a glance.
Is my text stored or uploaded when I count it?
No. The counting happens live in your browser and the text never leaves your device.
