How do I reverse text?
Paste your text and it flips instantly, the last character becoming the first and so on all the way back to the start. Copy the reversed result with one click. It is handy for puzzles, testing how something reads backwards, or a bit of playful mirror writing.
Does it reverse the whole thing or just each line?
This tool reverses the entire text end to end as one string, so a line break near the top ends up near the bottom. If you want to keep your lines in order and only flip the characters within each one, use our mirror text tool instead.
If I reverse text twice, do I get the original back?
Yes. Reversal is its own undo: run the output back through and you land exactly where you started, character for character. So it is safe to experiment with.
Does reversing scramble emoji or accented letters?
No, they stay intact. The tool reverses by whole characters rather than raw bytes, so emoji, accented letters, and other multi-byte symbols come through in one piece instead of breaking apart.
Is my text uploaded when I reverse it?
No. The reversing happens entirely in your browser, so whatever you paste never leaves your device or touches a server.
